The General Urban Plan (PUG) is a strategic and operational urban planning documentation that sets out the long-term evolution of the administrative-territorial unit, functional development directions in the territory, and urban regulations applicable directly to the administrative-territorial unit down to cadastral parcels, constituting mandatory substantiation elements for issuing urbanism certificates and construction/demolition permits and for implementing public investments.
The Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) is the specific regulatory planning instrument used to coordinate the integrated urban development of a zone within the administrative-territorial unit characterized by a high degree of complexity or accentuated urban dynamics. The zonal urban plan ensures the correlation of the integrated urban development programs of the area with the General Urban Plan.
